Dr Liam Fox's Friendly Country

Recently, Sri Lanka government rejected the British PM's nomination of a former defence secretary, Des Browne, as his special envoy to the country.

Speaking for the Conservatives on this row, Dr Liam Fox, the Shadow Defense Secretary said Gordon Brown is making complete mess of relations with friendly countries overseas.

Full quote of Dr Liam Fox:

"Having presided over calamitous damage to our economy, he (Gordon Brown) is now making a complete mess of relations with friendly countries overseas"

Here are the achievements of Dr Liam Fox's friendly country between 01 January 2009 and 15 February 2009.

Tamils wounded - 4059

Same sources report on Sunday night alone (15.02.2009) 53 people were killed and 158 wounded in cluster bombing by the Sri Lankan military on self declared "safety zone". See the picture below to see the agony of the people under attack from Dr Liam Fox's Friendly country - Sri Lanka.

Latest reports today indicated that this friendly country is using fire bombs to destroy civilian targets. The gruesome report on this was filed on Tamilnet today and could be found on the following link:

These stories are carefully kept out of western population through a systematic news black out to protect the rulers of this "friendly" country. But for the most of the Tamil British citizens these facts are well known through Tamil media sources and causing considerable stress.

All British Tamils who look to David Cameron and the Conservatives as the alternative to the current Labour Government, should raise this Anti-Tamil Tory comment with their respective Tory candidates, MPs and local Conservative Party associations.

Sample Letter for a Conservative party parliamentary candidate:

Dear ___________________ (name of the Candidate)

I , __________________________________(Your Name) of ____________________________________ (Your Address) understand that you would be standing on behalf of the Conservative party for my constituency for the next parliamentary elections. As a voter in this constituency I was planning to consider voting Conservative party this time. I am a British Tamil of Sri Lankan origin and deeply concerned about the suffering of the Tamil people back in Sri Lanka. I hold the following as my view on the current situation in Sri Lanka:

1. Sri Lankan government is deliberately targeting Tamil Civilians and it has now reached genocidal proportion
2. Sinhalese population in Sri Lanka is fully backing this attack as recent polls shows
3. Only way to save the Tamils in Sri Lanka is for the international community to accept the formation of an independent Tamil Eelam nation in the northeast of Sri Lanka which forms the Tamil homeland.
4. I am very disturbed by Dr Liam Fox's "friendly" country comment about Sri Lanka. In my view Sri Lanka should not qualify to be a friendly country to Britain until it stops the genocidal attacks on Tamils and agree to the formation of Tamil Eelam.

Please raise this concern of mine with Conservative Central office and obtain a clarification for us.

Your Sincerely,
